British artist Jason Line explores still life in charcoal drawing and paint from his London studio. Trained in Fine Art at the Camberwell School of Art and Gloucestershire College of Art, Line has exhibited work throughout the UK at 155a Gallery, the Lynn Painter Stainers Exhibition, the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery and the Discerning Eye Exhibition in London, among others. In 2020 he was awarded the Bowyer Drawing Prize.

In Still Lifes from the Studio, his 2021 exhibition at MARCH, Line depicts the objects surrounding his studio—a chair, a table, an old pot—finding truth through analysis and repetition while examining details such as the texture of a lemon rind or the transparency of glass.
