Oja Design
A collection of modern furniture inspired by traditional Shaker cotton tape chairs designed in collaboration with woodworker Duncan Oja of Oja Design. Based in the Outer Richmond district of San Francisco, California, Oja is trained in traditional furniture making in Upstate New York and at a small lumber mill in California. His work combines classic American furniture traditions with modern experimental design to settle on a place between raw material and functional object.
