Made in Italy.

Only at MARCH

Bold in luxury and in simplicity, a bone white leather placemat handmade by artisans in rural Umbria. Individually stained and rubbed, the placemats are designed to be water repellent and develop a natural patina over time.

From Peter Speliopoulos, a multidisciplinary artist living and working between New York and Patmos, Greece who previously worked with Christian Dior and as creative director of Cerruti Arte and Donna Karan. With a studied understanding of texture and the artistry of color, Speliopoulos creates pieces to provoke the senses. Working in leather, suede, shearling, and clay, individual pieces explore the balance between primitive and contemporary: “a respect for history with the forward motion of modern life.”

Color and tone may vary slightly as each piece is finished by hand.
