Made in the United Kingdom.

A circular napkin ring constructed with a twill weave using ancient techniques.

Carrying on the centuries-old tradition of rush matting, artist Felicity Irons hand-harvests English bulrush from the freshwater rivers of Bedfordshire. The rush is wind-dried and gently sun-bleached to bring out the warm honey tone of the natural material. Mats, coasters, baskets, and other products are then plaited by hand.

Colors of rush work may vary slightly dependent on the material of each season. Rush typically starts out more green before fading to a golden tone over time.
