A gently rounded spreader in Sakura wood is shaped and finished by hand by a centuries-old wood manufacturing practice in the Hiroshima Prefecture of Japan. First founded by a Buddhist priest in 1800 after manufacturing a wood rice paddle with a design inspired by the shape of a Japanese lute.
