Made in Japan.

An indigo handwoven table runner made from colorful fabrics and threads sourced from antique kimonos.

From a small atelier in the Aomori Prefecture of Japan with a longstanding technique of woven fabric called Sakiori. In Aomori, a colder part of northern Japan where cotton was not easily cultivated, local families would repurpose their tattered cotton by tearing them into thin strips and reweaving them to produce new cloth, akin to the rag rug tradition of Sweden. Each piece is woven on an old Japanese handloom called Jibata.
