A geometric ceramic teapot evokes ancient forms; finished in a metallic glaze evoking the burnished nature of iron ore. From Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaka who lives and works in Saitama, Japan. Inspired by the visual poetry of agricultural implements, Tanaka embraces the beauty of functional relics while staying firmly rooted in minimal lines. Textured glazes and unexpected shapes revise otherwise common objects with a softness only ceramics can produce.
