A short salt-glazed stoneware pitcher for serving smaller quantities of drinks such as aperitifs, cider, or water. Hand thrown and salt glazed, a technique founded in the Rhineland of Germany during the Middle Ages where common salt is thrown into the kiln during the higher temperature part of the firing process, a process largely obselete in modern times. Made in France in the 1980s and sourced by MARCH.
