Handmade in the United States.

A shiny white porcelain vase featuring the artist’s signature flower relief design.

Artist and gardener Frances Palmer has been making ceramics since 1987 as an extension of her printmaking practice. Her coveted vessels are handmade in her studio, a Colonial Revival house in Weston, Connecticut. Palmer makes each pitcher, bowl, and vase in service of the contents within, be it flower or food, and seeing pieces as functional art to be used on a daily basis.

The relief exterior shows the natural cracking of the clay during the drying process where the flowers meet. These natural, intentional cracks are only on the surface design and do not affect the integrity of the piece.

Size and color may vary slightly as each piece is hand-thrown and hand-glazed.
