A hand-embroidered trompe l’oeil tablecloth recalling poetic and convivial scenes of shared meals. French artist Sarah Espeute under the name Ouevres Sensibles (sensitive pieces), carefully selects vintage linen and cotton fabrics and designs them with minimalist embroidery. The embroidered imaginary dinner on view recalls universal feelings of familiar, cherished stories and memories.

Machine washable in cool water with mild soap on delicate or wool cycle. Avoid a powerful spin cycle which could damage embroidery and wash in a special, delicate laundry mesh bag. Pre-treat to lift stains using black soap, lemon, or white vinegar. Do not use bleach. Lay flat to dry. Iron inside out with hot iron and full steam while laundry is still damp. Iron with terry cloth towel underneath to avoid flattening the embroidery stitches.
