Handmade in Japan.
Made in Sanjo Niigata, Japan by Toyama Hamono, a traditional shears manufacturer hand-making secateurs and scissors since 1861. Based on the manufacturing methods of Japanese swords, solid steel floral scissors are designed for precision in floral design, pruning soft stems and houseplants, or snipping culinary herbs.
The scissors are best held with the index finger on the outside to control pressure. Each tool is stamped with the characters hidehisa which during the Edo period in Japan, represented superior quality and craftsmanship and has become a Toyama Hamono signature.
4.5"W x 7.75"H with 2.5"L blade
To best care for carbon steel scissors, soak in warm water with mild soap after each use and hand dry. Always keep dry when not in use. If rust occurs on carbon steel blades, carefully clean with linseed or camellia blade oil.
