Mirrors handmade in the Hudson Valley using the centuries-old French technique verre églomisé, or reverse gilding. Artist Maureen Fullam applies three layers of colored silver leaf or gold leaf with a fine brush made of badger hair. They are then dried, burnished, and buffed before being antiqued, sealed, and framed. Each individual mirror takes about one week to create.
