Peter Ivy is an American-born artist living and working in Japan where he practices the art of blowing glass by hand. After teaching in the United States and practicing sculptural glasswork, Peter had the opportunity to move to Japan with his wife. There, he began to experiment with vessels and other functional pieces inspired by the traditional process of glass blowing and Japanese architecture.
