Dust with dry cloth or wipe with very lightly damp cloth. Milk paint will naturally wear with time to reveal the wood in various places underneath. Keep water and liquids away from chairs as much as possible. If prolonged exposure to water occurs, a white patch or film may appear on milk paint but can be rubbed and retouched with oil as needed. Soft wood seat may dent with hard metal objects such as keys and coat zippers.
