A vintage centerpiece from Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann. The two-tiered serving dish features a grid motif, a central subject of Hoffmann’s, by way of square-perforated and folded metal sheeting finished in enamel. Hoffmann was co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte group of architects, artists, and designers working in ceramics, fashion, silver, and furniture in Vienna. This piece was designed circa 1905 and later produced in the 1960s by Bieffeplast in Italy.
