A vintage tray with handle from Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann. The tray features a grid motif, a central subject of Hoffmann’s, by way of square-perforated and folded metal sheeting finished in enamel. Perfect for holding flatware, a temporary display of fresh flowers or storing other items. Hoffmann was co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte group of architects, artists, and designers working in ceramics, fashion, silver, and furniture in Vienna. This piece was designed circa 1905 and later produced in the 1960s by Bieffeplast in Italy.
