Carter Cutlery

Murray Carter first trained in Japan with Sensei Yasuyuki Sakemoto, a 16th generation Yoshimoto bladesmith whose family custom-forged samurai swords for some of Japan’s most influential feudal lords. Carter then worked for an additional 12 years as a village bladesmith before founding Carter Cutlery; where he creates beautiful hand-forged kitchen knives from his Oregon workshop.
