Handmade in New York.

From the permanent collection of vessels by ceramic artist Simone Bodmer-Turner, a vase designed for intuitive floral arranging with a form inspired by the human body and the organic movements observed in the natural world.

Each piece is hand-cast in stoneware with a black underglaze and finished with a slightly textured matte black glaze and olive oil.

After studying in the countryside of Japan and Oaxaca, Mexico, Bodmer-Turner’s Brooklyn-based practice is informed by Etruscan water vessels, midcentury modern design, and the forms of Valentine Schlegel, Barbara Hepworth, and Henry Moore, among others.
